The Delta born billionaire and Antarctica explorer, Prince Ned Nwoko has been lauded for his initiative to build the first of its kind Sports University in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Nwoko was commended when an opinion sampling was randomly conducted on certain Anioma stakeholders on what they think about development in Anioma Nation, especially as it relates to projects that are of perpetual significance and value.

One of such personalities who spoke by first referring to Ned Nwoko as a generational innovator, was Her Royal Majesty, Obi Martha Dunkwu, Omu Anioma/Nneoha.

She had started by eulogizing Prince Ned Nwoko as a man who in spite of his well polished British background, has become one of the greatest Anioma patriots of our time.

According to her, "Ned did not blink an eyelid to decide where to site the University. He did not consider its economic viability in a local community most likely unknown in the world map.

"He against all odds, decided boldly to site the University in his village of Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North LGA, thereby putting the agrarian community conspicuously in the world map.

"Ned Nwoko is a brand; a University project is a brand, not to talk of a Sports University. We must commend him. This is a project everybody should embrace. He had a choice of taking it to where he will make money and better recognised for the laudable initiative, but he decided otherwise.

"Please, keep telling him that we love him. And it is my prayer that God will continue to bless him to fully bring his dream of the University to fruition", Omu Anioma prayed.

Moreso, a retired Federal Director of Education, Mr. Emma Ojei had equally spoken loudly about Prince Ned Nwoko's unflinching love for the land of his birth - Idumuje-Ugboko.

He said, no one can ever convince Ned otherwise, adding that his love for Ugboko, Anioma comes first in his scale of preference.

Ojei praised him for his bold face and doggedness in ensuring that things that will open up his community to tourism, foreign direct investment and other numerous social amenities are attracted to it.

Austin Atikpakpa is a fraudster in Uk and a former convict who led Prince Ned Nwoko and Miss Onibudo and other solicitors into believing that he was a trainee solicitor but could not continue his training at the law firm of awtar Singh because Mr Sing just died and was a sole practitioner.

Under Uk rules only a lawyer who is 3 years call can set up his own practice. Austin said he was only one year post law school .

At this period Ned Nwoko was the Secretary General of Nigerian lawyers in Uk and Richard Akinjide was the president general.

Ned Nwoko agreed to supervise Austin otherwise Awtar Singh Solicitors will close down and he won’t be able to complete his training.

It was done in good faith to help a struggling Nigerian to qualify as a solicitor. A couple of months after agreeing to supervise his firm Ned Nwoko came to Nigeria and contested and won election into the House Of Reps in 1999.

Prince Ned Nwoko returned to Uk and notified the law society that he couldn’t continue to supervise because of his election victory in Nigeria.

Unfortunately Austin had made some unlawful claims of legal aid money whilst Ned Nwoko was in Nigeria campaigning for his elections. If Prince Ned Nwoko had remembered to write to them before he traveled to Nigeria there wouldn’t be any problem. Ned Nwoko was held vicariously liable for his actions because he ought to have been there to supervise him.

But unknown to Ned Nwoko Austin was never at the law school let alone being a trainee solicitor. He was a scammer. He claimed that he had also qualified in Nigeria at the time which was a big lie.

Infact Ned understand that when the Law Society intervened in Awtar Singh in 1999 and closed it down Austin returned to Nigeria and went to Nigeria law school.

Note that the firm in question was not his.

PRESS STATEMENT: NED NWOKO VINDICATED BY FG, TWITTER OFFICE OPENING AND REGULATION DEAL



Billionaire Prince Ned Nwoko feels vindicated in his support of the axing of Twitter by the Federal Government and regulation of the social media following Twitter’s acceptance to open office in Nigeria and submit to regulation.

Ned Nwoko, the initiator of Malaria Eradication in Africa project, while delivering the 2021 June 12 Annual Lecture organized by the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abuja Council, two months ago supported President Muhammadu Buhari’s ban of Twitter in Nigeria.

He stated then in response to the ban, among others: “On the current issue with Twitter in Nigeria, I wholeheartedly support the position of the Federal Government”;

“There should be a measure of control and regulation for social media in countries where they have a presence,” he counseled.

Buttressing his support of Twitter suspension in Nigeria, Nwoko stated that the social media platforms must pay taxes to governments and provide employment for citizens in return for the over 100 million population that subscribed to their services.

It will be recalled that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government on June 5, 2021 suspended Twitter indefinitely in Nigeria citing the persistent use of the platform for activities capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.

The government noted that social media platforms, just like the regular media, must also register and obtain licences to operate in Nigeria.

But the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, told newsmen after Wednesday’s (yesterday) virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) that the over two months’ ban on the social networking site, Twitter, in Nigeria will be lifted soon.

Mohammed said the Federal Government has reached an agreement with Twitter on most areas of misunderstanding.

As the Minister put it, progress has been made in resolving the stalemate following series of meetings.

In his reaction to the capitulation of Twitter, Ned Nwoko said all other international social media companies operating in Nigeria, such as Facebook and Instagram, should follow suit by setting up their offices in the country and pay appropriate taxes to the government of the country.

HOW RAINOIL BOSS COLLUDED WITH US BASED HACK WRITER AZUKA JEBOSE TO DEFAME NED NWOKO, OTHERS

For over five years, Gabriel Ogbechie, the Chief Executive of Rainoil, denied knowing or sponsoring a mercenary low writer named Azuka Jebose. He repeatedly and vehemently lied about having anything to do with the US based poor propagandist who wrote blatant lies and defamatory stories about renowned Lawyer, Prince Ned Nwoko, Nigerian Judges, the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, the Inspector General of Police, IGP and traditional rulers of Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state.


Jobose’s writings and tantrums were the result of Ogbechie instigated land disputes in the village called Idumuje-Ugboko, in Aniocha North Local Government Area, where both Prince Ned and Ogbechie himself hail from. Several people had called out Ogbechie over Jebose’s acidic writings that crudely violated hard earned reputation and integrity. But Ogbechie remained adamant that he had nothing to do with the cheap cash-for-pen writer.

But , at last, Ogbechie has been exposed to be a man without a sense of honour despite his corporate status as boss of a supposed big oil and gas company. The fact is there is now a conclusive and indisputable evidence that Ogbechie actually engaged Jebose to do his dirty job and has been feeding him with lies without caring about the barbaric defamation of the character of the distinguished, highly placed and very reputable people he was writing about. All because of Ogbechie’s desperation to stop Prince Ned Nwoko from building a university in their village, a developmental project approved by the Obi-in-Council, by the Land Allocation Committee and the entire village which was why the Aniocha North Local Government had no hesitation issuing him a Customary Right of Occupancy.
Now, we have in our possession full and irreducible evidence that the Rainoil boss, Gabriel Ogbechie, called Jebose 187 times feeding him with insipid and despicable lies to be used as propaganda against a much more accomplished folk, Prince Ned Nwoko, including government and judicial officers diligently carrying out their duties.

And why has Ogbechie been so desperate to frustrate Prince Ned’s project ?

The first is that he had hidden plan to establish a palm plantation on the land that was approved for Prince Ned. Having failed in all his awful plans despite his diabolical machinations and manipulations in the last four years, he went to Illah and Akwukwu in Oshimili North Local Government Area to acquire 5000 hectares of land for the palm plantation project displacing hundreds of farmers without adequate compensation . Unfortunately, because he is addicted to manipulating people everywhere he went to achieve his self centred goals, he tried to reenact his act in these two hitherto serene villages, creating enmity among them and now many of folks have risen against him and his project is stalled.

But there are other reasons for Ogbechie’s loathsome antagonistic tendencies towards a man he dubiously claims to be his brother and friend . Ogbechie somehow feels that Prince Ned is his rival and this delusion can only be described as ridiculous. He needs to recognise this unblemished fact. And one can say this with utmost sincerity that even if Ogbechie becomes the richest man in Nigeria tomorrow, he will never be judged as one of the Prince’s peers in any way.
While Ogbechie is a trader in oil and gas, Prince Ned is a world renowned Lawyer. He is a man whose contributions to the economy of his country and the welfare of its citizens will remain imperishable. Several reputable media organisations have credited him with almost single handedly pulling his country out of recession for his heroics in repatriating billions of dollars for Nigeria through the Paris Club refunds, the outcome of his judicial victory over the international financial behemoth . That gruelling legal battle he fought alone for his nation is uncommon act of patriotism and heroism that ushered him into the pantheon of Nigeria’s greatest men of all time. In a country that recognises sterling achievements, he probably would have been decorated with the country’s highest national honour.

This is infinitely beyond Ogbechie.

It is this profoundly adored reputation that Ogbechie seems irrepressibly determined to smear, a reason he has been concocting lies and paying Azuka Jebose to dramatise his own hate culture and shame on the media. Unfortunately, Ogbechie will never be able to affect Prince Ned’s personal life, business or political trajectory as the much more exposed Prince is always years ahead of his diabolical, even if, disgraceful plans.
This comprehensive exposure of Ogbechie’s fiendish collaboration with Jebose to lie perpetually about a noble character like Prince Ned further confirms the pathetic notion that he has always been a liar.
When his known allies hired hoodlums that unleashed an unprecedented terror and mayhem for a week in Idumuje-Ugboko in May 2017, an atrocious destruction that left two people dead , houses and properties destroyed, Ogbechie tried to rewrite the story of a palpable vicious act of terrorism. He claimed in a Vanguard publication that it was the youths of the village who only avenged a previous attack on people at the village Palace. And brazenly lied further as he asserted authoritatively that there was no destruction . But when the police began to arrest the hoodlums after establishing their culpability beyond any reasonable doubt , he came out to obtain bail for the criminals now facing terrorism charges. And worse still , he lied unashamedly about the real reason for the hoodlums’ arrests.

And only recently a young man named Ossy in a brief detention at the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja, exposed an assassination plot being hatched against Prince Ned Nwoko by same hoodlums that Ogbechie has obtaining bail for one after the other. This whistle blower eventually began to receive threat calls on his release. He wrote a petition to the IGP and stated categorically that the mastermind behind the assassination plot against Prince Ned is Gabriel Ogbechie. When the news of this shocking revelation hit the media like a wild fire and the police arrested Ogbechie for questioning, he was subjected to hours of interrogation.

But because Ogbechie pays scant attention, if any, to truth and honour, he denied being arrested by the police. So, one can ask easily, why would you lie about a police invitation if you are not desperate to hide something from the public. Why would you lie in unconscionable manner if your conscience is not bruised. When more and more revelation about his police encounter continued unabated, he was forced to reverse himself and made a press statement where he admitted he was actually ‘invited’, but in synch with his character, he claimed to have spent only fleeting minutes during which the police dismissed the petition against him for having no substance. The whistle blower eventually died under mysterious circumstances shortly after his petition about threats to his life.

Again, Ogbechie took to the media to deny ever knowing the late Ossy or having anything to do with his death.
But on Friday, March 12, 2021, the then IGP, Mohammed Adamu ordered a full scale investigation into circumstances surrounding the whistle blower’s death, a testament to the fact that the manner of his demise provokes curious questions. Ogbechie has continued with his strident denials, claiming not know the deceased whistle blower or having anything to do with his death. But how, just how can one now believe a man who engaged Azuka Jebose like a full time staff , made confirmed 187 calls to him and still denied ever having anything to do with the hack writer and his puerile writings. That is the pathetic story of Rainoil boss, Gabriel Ogbechie and the question of integrity and honour.
There are actually many unprintable lies told by the Rainoil boss all in his envy driven quest to stop Prince Ned, a demonic passion that continues to sizzle without any effect.

But now , the day of reckoning has come. With his sponsorship of Azuka Jebose now established, he will face the full wrath of the Law. He will need to explain what he knows about all the trash that his hack writer, Jebose , has been writing, not just about the Prince, but the immediate past Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami , among others.

The owa peace accord almost resolved the differences in Ugboko until Gabriel Ogbechie engaged Azuka Jebose. And the media war started in Ernest. Gabriel is the architect of modern ugboko crisis. All because he wants to be the Iyase and also, Nonso promised him the Stars university permanent site.

ALERT: IDUMUJE UGBOKO MAYHEM - PLOT TO BURY VICTIM IN UNIVERSITY SITE UNCOVERED

This is to inform the general public that a sinister plot has been uncovered to bury the victim of the 2017 Idumuje -Ugboko mayhem on the site of the proposed STARS university in the community.


It would be recalled that one Cyprian Kumiolu was gruesomely murdered about 5 years ago allegedly by some hoodlums who shot him, following a violent attack on Idumuje ugboko, in Aniocha North local government area of Delta state.

Kumiolu, a young motor cycle rider,who hailed from Benue State was killed in cold blood in front of the royal palace and the corpse has not been found till date. His motorcycle was also set ablaze. Several suspects linked to the gory incident including Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko and Okey Ifejoku among others are facing prosecution for alleged murder and acts of terrorism.

It has become necessary to alert the world particularly security agents, following a dubious revelation last week by one Azuka Jebose, a serial blackmailer hired by the key suspects.

Jebose, a fugitive in America had falsely claimed in the social media that some workers at STARS university took the body to Asaba general hospital and subsequently removed it to an unknown destination. Let it be stated clearly that there is no general hospital in Asaba but the suspects are capable of bribing corrupt health workers to create medical records to give credence to their falsehood.

Again one of the prosecution witnesses Kachi Nwoko said he actually took part in the digging of the late Cyprian’s grave but subsequent search at the location close to the palace was futile as the body was not there. Kachi had explained to homicide detectives that the suspects changed their mind when they began to suspect that he was not entirely loyal to them.

According to Kachi they asked him to leave after the digging and he never witnessed the actual burial or disposal of the body. He has since left them to become the key prosecution witness.

Consequently, Jebose’s story is entirely false designed to create confusion in the minds of the public as it had been discovered from credible intelligence that the alleged masterminds of Cyprian’s murder are plotting to exhume his body from a secret location, then dig a fresh grave on the grounds of STARS university and bury his remains there.

It is pertinent to note that the university has a temporary location and permanent site which is over 20 miles from Prince Ned Nwoko’s country home. This alert has become imperative, as the permanent site is not fenced and guarded but prone to trespasses by mischievous elements.

We therefore urged the various security agencies to help in safeguarding the area and be vigilant in case of any freshly dug grave.

The desperation of the suspects and false propagandists in the Idumuje - ugboko terror attacks required that all security authorities and members of the public are put on notice to thwart their trickery and cover -up against justice.

This explains why Jebose spews falsehood at every turn. For a failed man, we are not surprised as he has no other work apart from the money he is getting from his principal paymaster, Dr Gabriel Ogbechie MD of Rain Oil. Unfortunately he cannot rewrite the events of May 2017, in Idumuje Ugboko. The witnesses are all alive and have made consistent statements to the police and the prosecutors.

Alas! Almost 5 years later, Jebose comes with a bogus story about Cyprian. But all these while he had been singing, claiming along with his sponsors that there was no one killed and no cyprain. Maybe Jebose is about to help point to where the body of the late cyprain was buried.

Nonetheless, what we think is that those who hired Jebose to lie want to use him to incriminate someone else in their scandalous murder of Cyprian. Sadly they have been in denial since 2017. They have told different stories at different times.

But it is hard to forget that there are witnesses who took part in digging a grave in the back of the palace. What was the grave for? Why did they ask Kachi Nwoko to leave after the digging? They have forgotten that there are witnesses who saw the body taken away in a car allegedly owned by one Uwadiegwu Nwoko.

A young man Asia Eze whom Jebose tried to recruit in futility to bear false witness had already told him that he was not there at Idumuje -Ugboko when the messy murder and destruction of property were perpetrated. It would be interesting for Jebose to come to court as a witness to give evidence of what Asia told him .

Recent attempts by a vicious group and their agents in and outside the country cannot negate or change established facts of police investigation.

Let the trial get going. Justice must be done against perpetrators of evil.

A review of land documents and investigative reports by relevant authorities has confirmed that a former lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, duly acquired the land on which he is building a golf course and a university in his hometown in Delta State.


Ned Nwoko’s acquisition of 90 hectares of land for a golf course and another two miles by two miles parcel of land for a university had sparked controversy at his native Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

While all palace chiefs, the town development union and a majority of residents, local and state governments authorities, as well as law enforcement agencies, are queueing behind the former lawmaker, saying he acquired the land legitimately, a camp led by Chukwunonso Nwoko, the first son of the late king of the community, has continued to battle the businessman over the property.

The land crisis soon became linked to a kingship succession tussle in the community after the death of the king, Albert Nwoko, culminating in a violent clash in May 2017.

A motorcycle taxi operator identified as Cyprian Kumaroun was allegedly killed in the clash during which some leaders of the community, believed to be backing Ned Nwoko, were also beaten up and their properties vandalised.

Following the violent clash, the police charged some suspects to court but the case was thrown out after some of the suspects had spent about three years in police and prison custody.


The Ned Nwoko Land Acquisition
Ned Nwoko was a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003. On March 16, 2015, he applied to the then king of the town, Albert Nwoko, for allocation of 90 hectares from the land set aside by the community for development projects.

In the application he made through his company, Linas International Ltd, Ned Nwoko, who is also a member of the ruling family of the community, said he wanted to build a golf course on the land.

He also requested another two miles by two miles parcel of land to build the permanent site of his private university. The former lawmaker has started developing the temporary site of the STAR University on a part of 33 hectares of land the community had earlier allocated to him in 2001 to start a dairy farm.

In his response to the fresh application, through a letter addressed to Mr Nwoko and dated April 10, 2015, the king conveyed his approval of the application.

In the letter titled “Request for Additional 90 Hectares of Land for Golf Course Development and Land for Sports University”, the king said “the town will go into partnership with your company by investing the capitalized value of the land at the appropriate rate in the golf course. The land for the university will be donated by the village.”

Ned Nwoko then paid one million naira to the community to cover the administrative cost of land cutting and allocation, as confirmed by a handwritten receipt signed by the community secretary, Somanyina Nwoko, and dated June 2, 2015.

This was followed on July 16, 2015, by a “Letter of Allocation” also signed by the community secretary.

Aniocha and the Customary Right of Occupancy
On July 8, 2015, Mr Nwoko through his said company applied to the Aniocha North Local Government for a Customary Right of Occupancy (CRO) for the 90 hectares of land.

In line with the law, the local government council published a Public Notice on the application on December 14, 2015, seeking any objection that might discourage it from granting the CRO.

Seven months later on July 20, 2016, the local government issued the CRO for the land through a letter addressed to Mr Nwoko.

Chuks Oseme, the chairman of the local government at the time, said after Prince Chukwunonso and his camp raised objection over the allocation of the land to Mr Nwoko, he made a fact-finding visit to the late king.


“As a result of an objection, I decided to pay the Obi a visit for further clarification in which I discovered that Prince Ned’s claims were genuine in which the then Obi confirmed issuing the approval letter following the recommendation by the land allocation committee,” Mr Oseme said. “The Right of Occupancy was therefore issued with all the necessary procedures followed.”

Chukwunonso Nwoko Vs Ned Nwoko: The battles
Although several documents and palace chiefs confirmed that Mr Nwoko duly acquired the 90 hectares of land, the acquisition is being challenged by the Prince Chukwunonso camp which also filed a civil suit on the matter.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding between the community and Mr Nwoko, the community would take a 40 per cent share in the golf course to be built on the 90 hectares of land.

Although it was stated in the MoU that the 90 hectares for the golf course is the community’s land, Mr Nwoko said the neighbouring town of Onicha-Ugbo later established its ownership of about 80 per cent of the land and has taken compensation from him.

Mr Nwoko also presented evidence of compensation paid to some members of the Idumuje-Ugboko community who proved they had farms on portions of the land.

However, all that could not avert the dispute over the allocation of the land. The crisis, which has now snowballed into a dispute over the throne of the community, flared a few months after the king communicated the approval of the application to Mr Nwoko.

This occurred after a letter dated August 12, 2015, was read in churches in the community in which the late king was quoted to have disproved the allocation of the land. The letter was circulated by Prince Chukwunonso and two other princes.

Walters Eziashi, a former President of the Idumuje-Ugboko Development Union (IDU) and an ally of Ned Nwoko, said efforts by prominent indigenes to clarify the turn of event from the king were frustrated by Prince Chukwunonso and his brothers who blocked access to their father. At that time, the king was 89, weak and mostly kept indoors at the palace. He died two years later in 2017.

On January 16, 2016, the princes filed a civil suit at the Issele-Uku high court, claiming the process for the land allocation was improper. The respondents in the suit were Aniocha North Local Government council, Ned Nwoko, and his company Linas International Ltd.

The chief judge of the state later reassigned Suit No. HCI/2/2016 to another judge and it is still ongoing at the Agbor High Court. But one of the princes, Edwin Nwoko, has since withdrawn from the suit.

While the princes accused Ned Nwoko of forging their father’s signature on the letter communicating the allocation of the land, the former lawmaker on his part accused the princes of forging the signature of their father on the letter of disproval.


The Police Wade In
The two sides then wrote petitions to the police in which they traded accusations of forgery of the signature of the king. In the petition by Ned Nwoko, his ally, Mr Eziashi, urged the police to investigate the veracity of the letter of disproval.

On their part, the three princes, through their lawyer, Ezenwah and Ezenwah, accused Ned Nwoko of forging the Obi’s signature and of threatening the life of Prince Chukwunonso. In another petition of March 17, 2017, they accused Ned Nwoko and others of harassment. They also alleged that he forcefully entered and desecrated the palace.

But the police have since issued an investigative report, saying the signature of the king on the two documents was genuine. But the report also indicted the princes of a criminal act and recommended their prosecution. It stated:

“The investigation further revealed that Prince Justin (Chukwunonso) Nwoko conspired with Ejimofor Nwoko, Izehumo Nwoko and Richard Nwoko and fraudulently used their relationship with HRM A. O. Nwoko (JP) to procure him to sign a document purporting to be denying the above portion of land which the community had earlier granted to the owner of Linas International Limited without the knowledge of the Izu-ani members,” the police said.

“It is glaringly clear from the foregoing findings that though His Royal Majesty, Obi A.O. Nwoko 111 (JP) signed all the documents in relation to Idumuje-Ugboko community land but the discreet investigation into the signing processes by Obi A.O. Nwoko unequivocally revealed that Prince Justin Nwoko acting in concert with Ejimofor Nwoko, Izehumo Nwoko and Richard Nwoko fraudulently used their intimate relationship and took advantage of Obi A.O. Nwoko 111 who is currently bedridden to procure him into signing a document purporting to be denying the land which the Idumuje-Ugboko community had earlier granted to Prince Ned Nwoko to build golf course development and sport university after a due consideration of the request by Izu-ani members and it is on this premise that we humbly recommend that Prince Justin Nwoko and his cohorts should be charged to court for the offences provided in section 516,249 (D) and 471 of the Criminal Code Law of Delta State as this will go a long way to ensure peace and harmony in the said Idumuje-Ugboko.

“The suspects will soon be charged to court please.”

Reprieve for Ned Nwoko as Delta Intervenes
On February 24, 2016, the police invited the three princes, Chukwunonso, Ejimofor and Richard; and the others named in Mr Eziashi’s petition.

They were subsequently charged before a magistrate court in the state capital, Asaba, in Suit No SMC/420C/2016. The court granted them bail but because they could not meet the conditions immediately, they spent some days in police custody.

Four years on, the issues remain unresolved and most of the cases are still before the court.

Apart from the investigation carried out by the Delta State Command of the Police, the police headquarters in Abuja also looked into the case based on a complaint by Chris Alaigbe and a few other individuals. The petitioners had accused Ned Nwoko of unleashing terror on their community and grabbing land from peasant farmers.

But in its report dated November 23, 2020, the Inspector-General of Police Monitoring Unit said its investigation showed that the allegations against Ned Nwoko were false and that the disputed parcels of land were legitimately acquired by the businessman.

PREMIUM TIMES also learnt that the Delta State Command of the State Security Service also investigated the matter and came to the same conclusion.

The Delta State government has also conducted an inquiry into the matter, with a team led by Edwin Uzor (the special adviser to the governor on peacebuilding and conflict resolution) meeting with all parties to the crisis.

In a February 18, 2021 report, the investigative team reached the following conclusions:

– That the Chairman, Linas International Limited of No. 4 Anambra River Crescent, Maitama Abuja, Nigeria, followed due process in procuring the said land.

– That all the necessary documents such as survey plan, university brochure, His Royal Majesty Obi Albert Nwoko and community approval of the entire land were obtained.

– There was an MOU between Linas International Limited and Idumuje-Ugboko community.

– That the police investigation, as signed by ACP Banmaminan, recommended that Prince Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko should be charged to court of competent jurisdiction for giving false information to the police contrary to Section 125 (A) of criminal code law as it is evidently clear that his life was not threatened as alleged.

The team then recommended that the contentious parcels of land should remain allocated to Ned Nwoko since a police forensic investigation clearly established that the land acquisition documents in the possession of the former lawmaker are authentic.

Having been cleared by law enforcement and other authorities, Ned Nwoko has, therefore, proceeded with the building of the mini campus of the university and the golf course. In May, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, visited the project in connection with the processing of its application for a licence from the National Universities Commission (NUC).

When our reporters met Prince Chukwunonso, he insisted his battle with Ned Nwoko is far from over despite the verdicts of several authorities on the matter. “This fight will not end until justice is done,” he said

On his part, Mr Nwoko said in spite of the controversy and years-long attacks on him by the Prince Chukwunonso camp, he remained committed to developing and entrenching peace in his Idumuje-Ugboko community.

Malaria depends on females mosquitos anopheles to transport it to and fro human and animals. If there are no female mosquitos, malaria will loose it's prominent carrier.
Now these mosquitos can only breed in a dirty environment (dustbins, stillwater, waste cans, etc), so ensuring a clean environment will frustrate the reproduction of the malaria killer agent/carrier mosquito.

Prince Ned Nwoko had said that Nigerians will learn new attitude towards Cleanliness. This cleanliness will also benefit the people saving them from other Dirty Environmental Related Sicknesses and diseases.

It is therefore imperative that we begin to learn, adopt and teach all others the NEED FOR A TOTAL CLEAN ENVIRONMENT as it promotes good health and fight against mosquito reproduction in the country.

Lindaikejisblog reporting the release of Okey Ifejioku based on the incomplete postulation of Pamelanin, who had been intentionally blaming @princenednwoko wrongly over her father's arrest, ended up reporting half information as some people are being misled to think that Ifejoku is Innocent or that the matter had closed.

Nedianites reacting on the blog said "this is an incomplete information from the side of Pamela for not stating the obvious how her father was released. 

Nedianite further said "People should know on what basis Ifejoku was released."

Mr Okey Ifejioku release doesn't prove he's innocent neither does it prove that all is over.

Ifejoku had been released on health condition and will be facing his charges when court resumes along others charged with murder and terrorism.

To so many, Ifejoku is  trying to play tricks, he organised the 2017 Idumuje Ugboko crisis that took lives and got properties destroyed. Justice must be served at last.

Following the pretentious cry of one Pamela on social media platforms, calling for the release of her father, many were made to believe that:
1, Ifejokwu her father was arrested over land matters
2, it is Ned Nwoko who arrested her father and jailed him unjustly
3, Ned is a rich man who uses his wealth to oppress people
4, Nigerian police and judiciary are used by Prince Ned Nwoko.. etc.


THE TRUTH
1, Ifejokwu the father of Pamela had never been arrested or any other person over land dispute with Ned Nwoko. You can check what he has been charged with. Ifejokwu was arrested because he organised the crisis in Idumuje Ugboko 2017 which led to deaths and got properties destroyed. Such is his charge and he wasn't charged to court by Ned.

2, It is not Ned that arrested Ifejokwu, it is the Police that is investigating the 2017 Idumuje Ugboko mayhem and subsequently charged him to court.

3, Ned has no record of oppressing people, instead he's known for philanthropic gestures and saving lives of people. 
4, Nigerian police and judiciary are doing their job and should be left to do so because criminals shouldn't have a free day.

WHY ARE THEY THEN CALLING NED
Prince Ned Nwoko is a wealthy man who didn't and will not support the candidacy of Prince Nonso to become king of Idumuje Ugboko.
Everyone who doesn't support Prince Nonso is death with, some beaten to death and others traumatized by vigorous damages to their properties.
As for Prince Ned Nwoko, the only thing they could try to do to him is to REVOKE THE ORDER OF LATE KING ALBERT NWOKO who with the Idumuje Ugboko Land Allocation Committee signed and allocated the University land to Prince Ned Nwoko as at 2015 while the late King Albert lived. 
They forged letter revoking the allocation but after proper investigations, Ned Nwoko was seen to have legally acquired the land. Ned met all the conditions that the late king and land allocation Committee gave him and did all compensations to farmers using the community land to farm.

The land matters was truly settled by 2015 with an MOU making the community have 40percent benefit.
 
Mr Ifejokwu is the hit man being financed by the oil boss in support of Nonso, so Ifejiokwu sponsored the crisis even as he sent letters to different Idumuje Ugboko people asking them to donate funds to buy weapons to fight Ned Nwoko. This fight as at 2017 resulted in the death of two which had led to Ifejokwu being arrested and charged to court.

When Ifejokwu was arrested and charged, the court sitting in Delta State ordered Ifejokwu and others be remanded over these murder, in the morning, but by evening something happened. The judge has been called and compelled to change same order he gave same day and indeed he gave another order in the evening by 4pm releasing them.... When they came out, they tried to sue the police for arresting them and that is what returned them to police custody for further determination of the case. So where are they calling Ned Nwoko from???

Pamela doesn't want people to know the real reason for her father's arrest so she comes viral to mislead the public.

* Land issue ended 2015 and the University is at the completion stage without restraints.
* Kingship tussle started 2017 which led to deaths hence the arrests...

*Or is Ifejokwu a land owner whose land was taken forcefully????
*Or is there any statement in the police station or court showing that Ifejokwu was arraigned over land matters???

I have personally engaged Pamela, Azuka Jebose and others and indeed you'll be ashamed to read their responses without fact but ladened with lies, hate, jealousy and wickedness against a man who had raised his land to limelight..

Indeed lives matter and justice must be served...

The accused Okey Ifejoku and others appeard before a magistrate court on 29/07/2020 and the magistrate declined jurisdiction to hear murder charges and transferred the matter to the high court and remanded them in police custody.

Magistrate courts do not have jurisdiction to hear certain matters including murder charges).

By 4pm attorney general (his wife is first cousin of Prince Nonso: their mothers are from same family in ubulu uku.), Their lawyer a senior advocate (is attorney general's brother), summoned the magistrate and forced him to rewrite his order and granted bail to all of the defendants (Ifejokwu and others).
He also assumed jurisdiction and asked that the defendants appear in the magistrate court the following thursday.

On the adjourned day the dpp (sent by the attorney general suddenly) announced that he was taking over the prosecution of the case from the police and that there is no evidence against the accused and that the witnesses have all died.

Wow. The witnesses were outside the court. None has died. They are well and anxious to say what happened in ugboko in 2017. But they watched as the defendants were corruptly set free without a trial.

2wks later the defendants sued the police inspector general IG and the CP along with the witnesses claiming billions of naira.

When the IG received the report of what happened between the magistrate and the attorney general of the state, he ordered for the proper trial of defendants before a High Court that has jurisdiction to try the matter.

This is why Okey Ifejoku and co were re arrested and charged with murder of cyprain. It has nothing to do with land. Okey ifejoku has never been tried for murder of cyprian or Kennedy illoh before. But he will face the trial along with others so that justice is done. Or should the families of their victims take the laws into their hands. Let’s not invite anarchy and bloodshed because of injustice.

OHANAEZE NDIGBO CONGRATULATES PRINCE NED NWOKO ON ESTABLISHMENT OF STARS UNIVERSITY, IDUMUJE UGBOKO AND THE MALARIA ERADICATION PROJECT OF HIS FOUNDATION

The National Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has congratulated Prince Ned Nwoko on his establishment of Stars University, Idumuje-Ugboko and the Malaria eradication programme of his foundation. President-General of the group, Prof George Obiozor made the commendation when he led his Exco on a courtesy call on Prince Nwoko at his Mount Ned Resort mansion Idumuje-Ugboko.


Prof Obiozor described Prince Ned as one of the best and brightest Nigerians of Igbo extraction. He said he has been following the sterling achievements of Prince Ned as an accomplished international lawyer for several decades especially during his (Obiozor's) service as Nigeria's envoy to the US and also State of Israel.

The Ohanaeze President-General presented to Prince Ned Nwoko a copy of the position paper of the pan-Igbo group on the current state of affairs in the country. The document titled 'The Journey So Far' encapsulates the position of Ohanaeze on the national issues.

Victims Of 2017 Idumuje-Ugboko Mayhem Insist Ifejiokwu, Others Must Face Justice

...Exonerate Ned Nwoko Of Any Involvement In The Prosecution Of Offenders

Four years down the line, victims of the crisis that rocked the agrarian community of Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North LGA of Delta State are still insistent on justice.


The crisis so far claimed the lives of two individuals, one innocent okada rider, Cyprian Kuomolu from Benue State and another, the then Idumuje-Ugboko Land Allocation Committee Secretary, Kennedy Iloh.

Ever since the incident on May 24th, 2017, the case had lingered and the police recently concluded their investigation and promptly charged the masterminds for alleged murder.

However, the arrest and subsequent prosecution of one Okey Ifejiokwu as the alleged principal culprit and six others had been generating some sort of mix reactions on the social media. One of the children of Okey Ifejiokwu, Pamela had made a post allegedly accusing Prince Ned Nwoko of being behind his father's travail, insisting his father was innocent and only being vilified over Ned Nwoko's STARS University land which had also been in contention.

Although Pamela severally contradicted herself in her various social media claims, the trending issue had been a source of concern within the media space, prompting some select media practitioners who were privy to the crisis in 2017 to carry out an assessment of the situation.

In an interview with the Traditional Prime Minister (Iyase) of Idumuje-Ugboko, Chief Chris Chukwuka Ogwu, he explained the genesis of the matter, which he said began when a group of persons came from Lagos to protest the allocation of land to Prince Ned Nwoko for his proposed University project. The protest was before the passing of Obi Albert Okwudimegwu Nwoko 111, the then traditional ruler of Idumuje-Ugboko who approved the land to Ned Nwoko.

He said after the death of Obi Albert Nwoko in February 2017, opposition to the allocated land continued as championed by the late Obi's son, Prince Nonso Justin Nwoko. He said Prince Nonso had insisted that the land was not legitimately allocated to Linas International Ltd for the building of the proposed Sports University by Prince Ned Nwoko. 

According to him, "The matter became serious and many of us who refused to bend the truth were regularly threatened. I don't know how to say it, that the late Obi brought a letter announcing to us that Prince Ned Nwoko had requested for 100 hectares of land to build a University in his community and after passing through various processes and was approved by Obi Albert Nwoko himself; I should now be saying a different thing.

"After we read the letter, the Obi asked us to look for land for the project. The late Obi was enthusiastic that if the community had enough land, it would be a thing of joy that in his time he was able to approve it for a project that would grow and develop the economy of the community and earn revenue to the people.

"In a nutshell, we carried out the Obi's orders and we were able to locate the land at the present site of the proposed University. Part of the land was once a subject of litigation between us and Onicha-Ugbo people, and we pursued the matter even up to the Supreme Court and won eventually. We were able to size up the land and got exactly what our son Ned Nwoko needed for the University and 18 Hole International Golf Course.

"We reported back to Obi Albert Nwoko who approved the allocation but insisted that Ned Nwoko and his company, Linas International would pay compensation to the itinerant farmers who were farming on the land on behalf of the community. Ned Nwoko agreed and made the payment among other commitments to the community. On this note, the Obi signed and promptly approved the allocation of the land to Linas International Ltd. 

"That was just the genesis until this group of persons came from Lagos to protest the decision of the Obi and his cabinet members on behalf of the community. And then after the Obi's passing in February 2017, the community was thrown into anarchy that resulted in the invasion of the community in May 2017 by thugs imported to unleash terror on those not disposed to their antics. They had claimed our Obi never signed the papers allocating the land to Ned Nwoko. I cannot lie at my age and status as the Prime Minister of the community (the number two in hierarchy). Same goes to the Odogwu, Chief Sunday Edemodu and late Mr. Kennedy Nedu Iloh as the Secretary of the Land Allocation Committee.

"They tried all manner of lies; they eventually came out to say that another of our son needed part of the land for palm plantation. I said to them, but another of our son already had it. Besides, what is more sustainable to our economic development than a University project which would last in perpetuity.

"That was our offence. And then on the 23rd and 24th May, 2017, thugs were imported into the community to reign terror and havoc. On that fateful day, a group of boys accosted me, slapped me and forcefully dragged me to the Palace, saying they were acting on the orders of Prince Nonso Nwoko and the President General of Idumuje-Ugboko Development Union, Mr. Okey Ifejiokwu. After beating me, then the next day, it was all catastrophe in Ugboko, we were mercilessly beaten, our houses were raised down and our cars and other properties vandalised. In the process of the crisis, one Cyprian Kuomolu, an okada rider was shot dead while Mr. Kennedy Iloh later died as a result of the injuries inflicted on him.

"I am still alive but I am not looking like a person again. My house was destroyed and my car totally damaged. Same thing was meted out to the Odogwu who also had been partially disfigured and had remained sickly ever since.

"I am surprised that the defendants are now the ones crying out that they are being witch-hunted. Who is witch-hunting who? When we were shouting and crying, trying to defend ourselves, they felt they had violence and made good their threat by unleashing violence on us.

"Okey Ifejiokwu was the ring leader who mobilized thugs to unleash terror on us. He was the President General and he used his powers wrongly. The evidence is there how he sent out letters, calling for donations to procure arms and ammunition to fight Ned Nwoko and those perceived to be protecting his interest. 

"If Ned Nwoko had so much power, we wouldn't have gone to the police. We would have called on him to come to our rescue using his power. What every right thinking Idumuje-Ugboko person is doing right now is asking for justice for us. 

"After that act of terror, we reported to the police. We started with our police station here. From there we went to Issele-Uku Divisional Police Headquarters, then to the State Command in Asaba, from there to Zonal Headquarters in Benin and then to Force Headquarters in Abuja. We had all along pursued this case, seeking justice for what they did to us. It is the police that is prosecuting the culprits and not Ned Nwoko. We the victims reported the matter to the police, because the perpetrators of the crime had no authority for terrorism.

"When I saw the post of Okey Ifejiokwu's daughter, Pamela, I laughed. They said she is 19. What does she know? As at the time of this incident, she would probably be 15. She was a child and didn't know anything, that is why she probably doesn't understand the magnitude of his father's actions then.

"All we are asking is justice. Nobody has a right to take a life. Let justice take its course. And let Nobody call on Ned Nwoko again", Iyase Chris Ogwu posited.

In a telephone interview with the eldest son of late Mr. Kennedy Iloh - Nelson Iloh, he said life was snuffed out of his father because they had nobody and were poor.

Nelson Iloh said if he had so much power he would have done something drastic. He however, said that he decided to bury his father with his siblings and allow justice to take its course.

"I don't have anybody, but I am happy with what the police had done so far in this case. All I want to see in the end is justice for my late father, who died from the injuries inflicted on him by his supposed fellow kinsmen and their thugs. My father's offence was serving his community and standing on the path of truth. Pamela or whatever she calls herself is talking because her father is facing trial now for the evil he did to others. Does she know how it feels to lose one's dad and hoping for justice for years now?", Nelson Iloh asked.

In the same vein, the daughter of the Odogwu of Idumuje-Ugboko had made a video asking Pamela and her co-sponsors to stop dragging Prince Ned Nwoko into their problem and face the law for their wicked and inhuman treatment to their fellow kinsmen. She asked Pamela to stop speaking ignorantly, maintaining that evidence had it that her father led the thugs to her own father's (Odogwu) house and others where mindless violence and destructions were carried out.

She equally called out the police to ensure that the prosecution eventually yields result, insisting that it would be on that basis that the wound inflicted on the victims and their families would begin to heal.

"My father is the number three man in the community, but he was treated like a commoner. He was beaten and rendered helpless and incapacitated for believing that the right thing should be done in the community.

"It is only justice that will make us feel better. We can't do anything on our own, we can't take laws into our hand like them, but we have the law as the last arbiter of the common man. That is why we earnestly desire that justice is served in this matter", she said.

Moreover, efforts were made to reach the suspect but we understand he is currently being detained. Meanwhile, every other person involved in the matter had proved difficult to reach before press time.

In a nutshell, analysts believed that hence the matter is already in court undergoing trials, the case should be allowed to run procedurally while justice is awaited for whoever deserves it between the contending parties.

NED NWOKO SLAMS PREMIUM TIMES (PT) WITH LIBEL SUIT, DEMANDS 10BN

Billionaire and ex-lawmaker, Ned Nwoko has written to Premium Times (PT) to retract his “defamatory statement” against his person or face court action.



In a letter addressed to Premium Times(PT) by Nwoko’s solicitor, Rolls Law Firm, demanded for a retraction of the libelous publication in the online news platform and also asked PT to publish an apology in two national dailies backed with a payment of N10bn as damages for the publication of the said libel.

The letter dated 17th of May, 2021 and signed by Mr. Onyeka Nwokolo (Esq.) partly reads, we are solicitors to Hon. Prince (Dr.) Ned Munir Nwoko (herein referred to as “Our Client”) and on whose behalf and instruction we write you this letter, our client’s attention has been drawn by several people including members of his family, friends, business associate and co-politicians amongst other well-meaning Nigerians to serials of your false publications in your news media where you maliciously with intent to bring our client to contempt and ridicule him in the eyes of the public published false, untrue and concocted stories about him.

“In one of such publications dated 5th Dec. 2020 and captioned “ How ex-lawmaker, Ned Nwoko grabbed community’s land, dislodged poor farmers”, you maliciously and falsely stated that Ned Nwoko a billionaire and former lawmaker from Delta State grabbed four acres of farmland of Ninety-year-old Oghedo Ogodi which she inherited from her husband…”

“Furthermore, the malicious and false fabrications contained in your other publication of 12th Dec. 2020 captioned: “How massive land grab by ex-lawmaker Ned Nwoko ignited fatal violence in Delta Community”. LG AUTONOMY: NED NWOKO CALLS FOR FULL AUTONOMY TO CHECK INSECURITY...

International lawyer and Antarctica Explorer, Hon. Prince Dr. Ned Nwoko has called for full autonomy for the local government administration in Nigeria as the bedrock of restructuring and genuine democracy.



In an OPEN LETTER to the President in Abuja on the state of the Nation, against the backdrop of insecurity by bandits across the country amidst anxieties over the socio economic challenges facing the people, Prince Nwoko said lack of independence in local government leadership had over the years produced a weak structure that could not safe guard lives and inspire good governance at the grassroots.

He said local government autonomy and direct funding from the Federation allocation account would embolden elected chairmen and councilors to work effectively with divisional police officers and traditional rulers to manage security as every crime is local.
Prince Nwoko faulted the prevailing situation where state governors control local government funds through the federation allocation account, leaving the councils as appendages of the states.

Local governments according to Nwoko deserves independence to attract experienced technocrats and successful business men who have the latitude and wealth of experience to perform as chairmen.

He stated that such arrangement would herald real democracy as elections would be fought locally and popular candidate would emerge regardless of political parties and godfather phenomenon.

Prince Nwoko said President Mohammadu Buhari had championed the move with his policy thrust of granting autonomy for local governments, House of Assembly and the judiciary. He said the president’s quest was a bold patriotic template that would strengthen separation of powers among the executive,judiciary and legislature,for the benefit of all Nigerians.

He noted that the calls by southern governors for restructuring should go beyond rhetorics and matched with action.
The former member of the House of Representatives said what is required urgently is for the National Assembly to ensure implementation of administrative and financial autonomy in favour of all democratic institutions in Nigeria especially the local governments.

“Elections will be free and fair if local governments are independent. This will usher in the much needed election of credible aspirants.
“Council chairmen will be effective. Councilors will take charge of their wards.  The kings will be held responsible for their towns and villages.
“ Most Governors don’t know what goes on in local governments areas. They rely on advisers who are in most parts not resident in the LGAs. Governors control elections because they control local government executives. Free these executives and empower them through direct allocations and see what will happen with elections and security.
“The restructuring we need must start from the grassroots because it is the foundation of democracy. It is call for Nigerians to support Buhari in this regard.
“ I also call on Ohaneze, Afenefere, Arewa, PANDEF and other groups to give total support. I believe that if this is achieved before the next general elections in 2023, everything will change in the interest of the people.
“We need strong democratic institutions at the various levels in Nigeria for the good of all. We need rule of law and social justice much more than ever before. The strike by judicial workers under JUSUN demanded this reasonably. Judges deserve financial and administrative autonomy to function freely. State legislators should not be subservient to state Chief executives. Local governments must stand alone to drive effective governance at the grassroots.
“Local government officials in collaboration with traditional rulers must mobilize their people to participate massively in the public hearing on the review of the 1999 Constitution holding simultaneously across the six geo political zones from May 26 to 27, 2021.

Alleged Prosecution Of Okey Ifejoku On Idumuje-Ugboko Land Deals: Monarch, HRM Agbogidi Solomon Eziokwubundu Nwabuokei Nwoko Says, "Nobody In His Kingdom Is In Police Custody".



The attention of the Obi of Idumuje Ugboko, HRM AGBOGIDI SOLOMON EZIOKWUBUNDU NWABUOKEI NWOKO, has been drawn to the series of rumours and online propaganda emanating from the family of Okey Ifejoku insinuating that some persons in his kingdom are still being prosecuted as a result of land deals. To the best of the knowledge of the Obi of Idumuje Ugboko no one is in police custody or is being arraigned as a result of land deals in his kingdom. The only remote issue relating to land dispute is a civil case involving one hectare of land between Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko and the Banyes.

The Obi of Idumuje Ugboko is however aware that there are ongoing criminal prosecution for terrorism and murder of persons arising from the May 18th to 25th attacks and destruction in Idumuje Ugboko which is now popularly referred to as the 2017 mayhem in the community. Those currently tried for terrorism and murder in a Federal High Court Abuja are Dennis Uwadiegwu Nwoko, Ndudi Chijiume, Nwochie Agiliga Light, Raymond Omosiele, Adim Nwafor, Okey Ifejoku, Azuka Mukolu, Ejimofor Nwoko. Others are Omoye Esonye, Aikhomo Omezi, Sir Godwin Akaba Aniemeke and Emeka Oyibundu.

Some of the above persons have been granted bail while a few others are still perfecting their bail conditions. Instead of the aforementioned persons to defend themselves in court for the charges against them they are claiming that they are being arraigned as a result of land issues. By this they falsely and maliciously allege that their arraignment is at the instance of Prince (Dr) Ned Nwoko, the Chancellor of the proposed STARS UNIVERSITY in Idumuje Ugboko. HRM AGBOGIDI SOLOMON EZIOKWUBUNDU NWABUOKEI NWOKO wishes to clarify that the arraignment of certain persons mentioned above have no bearing whatsoever with land issues. As a matter of fact the victims of the 2017 Idumuje Ugboko mayhem are the complainants together with their witnesses in the murder of Cyprian Kumiolu and Kennedy Iloh. Specifically Okeh Ifejoku and others being prosecuted for the murder of Cyprian Kumiolu.

The above clarification has become necessary to set records straight in view of distorted facts concerning the arraignment of person in a Federal Court in connection with terrorism and murder charges.

These inspired words of one of America’s greatest poets and inspirational female advocate, Maya Angelou, holds true for a lot of us today, YES, we never forget how people made us feel at any point in time.

Hon. Prince Ned NWOKO enjoys a lot of goodwill from people across ANIOMA, the entire Delta state and internationally because of so many virtues he possesses which most leaders unfortunately lack today.

Prince Ned NWOKO is very compassionate. He needs no further introduction as to his wealth in compassion. If he’s to be rated materially in terms of his compassionate deeds, he unarguably, would be rated as ONE of the wealthiest men who ever walked through the planet earth. I say this without bias because it’s a lot easier for the poor to show compassion to others especially those they need favours from but the case is most times on the reverse side with elites and wealthy people especially when they don’t need you, compassion is not a dish they would have on their trays to serve you.

Prince Ned has so much goodwill from the people wherever he goes because Prince Ned shows honour to all he meets. By virtue of my work, I have been so privileged to have met, interacted with and worked for different people especially elites from different ethnicities, but trust me when I say, Prince Ned Nwoko is very special, uniquely humane and makes those who come to him feel very special too. He is VERY different in this regard.

Prince Ned NWOKO would come to his gate to pick his guests, some who are very lowly and and he would smile at them affectionately to soothe whatever pain or stress they may have experienced even when they are “UNINVITED” GUESTS, but some leaders and elites I know would keep you waiting at their gate for a very long time before their protocol allows you into the compound and then you begin to wait in their “waiting room” before you are finally ushered in to see the “Oga” notwithstanding the fact that you were actually there “INVITED” with so much pleas by the same person who had kept you waiting at the gate: the “OGA”.

Have you seen the ecstatic mood and actions of the people when Hon. Prince Ned NWOKO walks into an event or a gathering? Everything literally stops momentarily with thunderous claps, greetings, ovations and positive exclamations even though he does not occupy any elective, appointed, government or public office currently while some persons INCLUDING sitting governors would come into their state events and no one even cares or makes any appreciative remarks, positive sounds or respectful welcome gestures except for the announcement of their arrival and presence OR, the declaration for the national anthem to be observed, this is goodwill coming from the people to Prince Ned which he has earned naturally over the years by being a friend to all, this goodwill is not induced, not rehearsed but spontaneous appreciation from the hearts of the people he has made feel special at different points without any much ado and this undoubtedly reminds me of the words of Maya Angelou as espoused above; people will never forget how you made them feel.

Dear leaders, this is for you; mind how you treat and make people feel for one day, the same person(s) you treat so badly today because you are a “leader” will surely become tomorrow’s leader, your leader, likely in your old age when all may have forgotten your relevance and ABANDONED you but would certainly NOT have forgotten how you have made them feel long ago. IDUMUJE UGBOKO: IFEJOKWU AND THE BURDEN OF GUILT


An avalanche of claims and counter claims had been presented over the Idumuje-Ugboko communal crisis in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state. But no one had been as laughable and ridiculous as much as a recent publication by one Okey Ifejokwu.
First, who is Okey Ifejokwu? He is the self styled President General of Idumuje-Ugboko Development Union (IUDU), facing multiple trials for alleged murder and widespread acts of brigandage in his rural community.

The embattled Ifejokwu in a piece circulated widely in the media had tried to extricate himself from the Idumuje-Ugboko crisis in one of the most absurd deceptions and hypocrisy ever seen.
In the dubious narrative shared and obviously written by notorious paid propagandist and Nigerian fugitive idling in America, Azuka Jebose, Ifejokwu gave a false account of the tragic events of 2017 in Idumuje-ugboko, labeling himself a victim in a mayhem he helped to fuel in grotesque terror.
Mocking truth in shameless scam , Ifejokwu wrote through Jebose that the “Good people of ANIOCHA NORTH LGA, DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT, (sic) and Nigerians in general, should please come to Idumuje-Ugboko’s rescue for life becomes brutish without consequential laws”
While weeping crocodile tears, calling for “rescue “of Idumuje-Ugboko, Ifejokwu failed to tell the world his role in the mayhem, so despicable and abominable.

Precisely between May 18 – 25, 2017, Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko, usurper to the ancient Idumuje-Ugboko throne working hand in hand allegedly with Okey Ifejokwu , Gabriel Ogbechie and a murderous gang unleashed hell on the community.
In a terrorist frenzy their dangerous thugs and hired militia imported from far and near, invaded the community to silence general opposition against Prince Nonso’s illegitimate ascension to the throne.

During the invasion, gang of terrorists chanting war songs allegedly attacked the various leaders and groups in the kingdom. These include the vigilante group ably led by Mr. Peter Bama who was beaten and dragged round the town on his birthday suit. They forced him to lead them to the homes of other vigilante members where the double barrel guns and bullets provided the vigilante members by the community for anti-crime purpose were stolen.

The gangsters equally took away the security motorcycles acquired for the vigilantes to aid mobility and quick response to distress calls for effective community policing and protection of lives and properties in the community.

Furthermore, they attacked individuals at their homes. The secretary of the land allocation committee and then Chairman of the IUDU Taskforce Committee, Mr. Kennedy Nedu Illoh was abducted from his home and dragged to the palace, then beaten to intimidate him to submit his loyalty to Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko. Kennedy Illoh never recovered from this inhuman torture as he died thereafter as a result of fatal injuries.

The next day the attacks continued with increased hostility. Chief Chris Ogwu, the Iyese (Traditional Prime Minister) of Idumuje-Ugboko was attacked at his home and abducted to the palace after his two cars parked were vandalized, his house ransacked and vital documents including other valuables stolen by the armed gang.
At the palace, he was flogged, forced to lie down on the floor and severely beaten in front of Prince Chukwunonso and his men who were watching and enjoying the pains, agony and humiliation of the traditional Prime Minister by the hired assailants. The Iyese was lucky not to have been killed, but he is still suffering the physical and psychological trauma.
Chief Sunday Edemodu, the Odogwu of Idumuje-Ugboko was not spared the misdirected wrath of this gang. They invaded his home at night, damaged his house and looted his valuables. This attack has left him partially disabled battling with complicated health challenges till date.
Mr. Victor Omezi, an illustrious son of the community narrowly escaped death because he was lucky to have travelled when the hoodlums controlled by Ifejokwu evaded his home. But his home and properties were not spared. The gang set his building ablaze after the looting of most of his valuables including cash and imported artifacts.

The hoodlums shot one Mr. Cyprian Kumiolu, a young motor cycle rider and life was snuffed out of him. He was murdered in cold blood in front of the palace by the hired bandits in a bid to please Prince Chukwunonso Justin Nwoko and his cohorts. Cyprian Kumiolu’s corpse, according to eye-witnesses was moved from the palace to the market square in a wheelbarrow by one of the arrested suspects already standing trial, and at midnight the corpse was taken away to an unknown location.

Till date the body of this young Benue State indigene has not been found. On March 2020, his father appeared before the Obi of Owa Peace Committee on the Idumuje-Ugboko crisis pleading with Idumuje-Ugboko to release the corpse of his son to him for burial. Painful enough, the young man was not only murdered in cold blood, his motorcycle was set ablaze and burnt to ashes. What a gory story of man’s inhumanity to man!
It is the same gory stories of wanton destructions, looting, arson, beating, humiliation in over 29 other homes in the community as recorded by both the Nigerian Police and National Human Rights Commission who visited the community to see things for themselves.
But for the reinforcement of the security agencies who arrived Idumuje-Ugboko late 25th May, 2017, the calamity brought upon the community by Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko , Okey Ifejokwu and their financiers perhaps would have been more colossal.

The people of Idumuje-Ugboko Kingdom, from 2015 till date, have been under the vice grip of anti-progressive forces posing to be above the laws of the land and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Ironically Ifejokwu is talking about justice when he had trampled upon the law with his alleged involvement in the Idumuje-Ugboko mayhem.

Throughout the reign of terror in our dear village, no one heard the voice of Okey Ifejokwu calling for the “rescue” of Idumuje-Ugboko. Today he is desperately singing because the police swooped on him and his violent gang, now facing trial at various courts. A case of an oppressor playing the victim.
The best way to rescue Idumuje-Ugboko is for JUSTICE to prevail with the full prosecution of Okey Ifejokwu and his group of marauders. They must also compensate the victims of their terror attacks for peace and justice to reign in Idumuje-Ugboko.

In 2017 okey ifejoku sent messages to Ugboko people announcing that war was going to break out and that he needed people to contribute money to buy arms to fight their “common enemy”. He gave the bank account details of the youth president Raymond omesiete for the contribution the “war” .Okey didn’t stop there, he personally led the gang that abducted Kennedy illoh, which led to the man’s death.
It amounts to wickedness for Ifejokwu to feign ignorance and deceptive innocence after plotting unimaginable evil against hapless people of his fatherland.

In his hypothetical stance to sound saint and whip up sentiments, he failed to inform the world that the Police invited him with others as suspects over the violence at Idumuje-Ugboko and the matters are in various courts of competent jurisdiction . There is a case of terrorism against the suspects in CHARGE NO. FHC/ABJ/11/19 instituted by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Justice, Abuja. Fourteen of the suspects including Ifejokwu were arrested and charged before the Federal High Court and granted them bail on stringent conditions.

On his accusation of Prince Ned Nwoko over the circumstances of the STARS university land in Idumuje-Ugboko, Ifejokwu knows he lied.
The truth is that on the 16th of March, 2015, Hon. (Prince) Ned Nwoko through his company, Linas International Limited, applied to HRM Obi Albert O. Nwoko III, JP; (MON) now of blessed memory for 90 hectares of land for the establishment of a university known as STARS UNIVERSITY and international Golf course.

Prince Ned Nwoko had earlier been granted 33 hectares in year 2000 for agricultural and allied purposes. Prince Ned swiftly brought into the community about 500 cows for dairy farm and built the factory for the dairy products, the fisheries, poultry, zoo and some palm plantations and grazing areas for the animals.
This parcel of land was fully utilized for Agricultural and allied purposes for which it was granted. The remaining part of the land had also been fully utilized for site of the university housing hostel for boys and girls, academic building, cafeteria and library, staff quarters and engineering department.
Today, work has reached advanced stage at the STARS University and international Golf course awaiting accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

It would be recalled that following the application for the 90 hectares of land for the university and golf course, the king had convened a meeting of the Obi-in-Council and the request was duly approved.
This development led to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Linas International Limited and Idumuje-Ugboko community. The MOU ceded 60 per cent equity to Linas International Limited and 40 per cent to Idumuje-Ugboko community. It was signed by the parties and dated 25th August, 2015.
Based on the allocation, Prince Ned Nwoko and Linas International Ltd compensated genuine tenant-farmers working on the land and paid the mandatory allocation/administrative fees.
It is worthy of note to mention that the same land for the Golf course has been claimed by Onicha-Ugbo people. Infact Prince Ned paid over two hundred and fifty million (250,000,000:00) Naira to the Onicha-Ugbo indigenes following written agreements. The land in dispute with the Banyes (who are allegedly being used and instigated by Chukwunonso, Gabriel, Ifejokwu and co) is less than one hectare. This is Idumuje-Ugboko community land that was being farmed by various people including the Banyes. As at today Prince Ned is the only one with any title to this land.

It is also recalled that at an Abuja meeting between Gabriel Ogbechie and Prince Ned Nwoko, Gabriel advised Prince Ned to arrange a gift of one hundred million (N100,000,000:00) Naira for Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko because according to Dr. Ogbechie, Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko needed money badly for personal upkeep. Of course Prince Ned declined, insisting that he won’t do anything outside the directives of Idumuje-Ugboko Land Allocation Committee. Ned obviously considered such an action a form of bribery. NED WILL NEVER GIVE BRIBE OVER HIS LAND…TOTALLY AGAINST HIS VALUES.

In frustration over his failed bid to foist Prince Nonso on Idumuje Ugboko people, with all the macabre consequences, Gabriel had been involved in other uncharitable plots, the most recent being an alleged assassination attempt on Ned. A serious matter now before police investigations, as he has been detained and quizzed several times by the security agents.

Let Okey Ifejokwu keep lying. He titled his falsehood “IF YOU DONT KNOW BY NOW “ But we know he his pretending. We know he knows the truth. Not NOW but ever since!

He bears a burden. The burden of guilt. Guilt waiting for inescapable justice. And the guilty is afraid!
