MALARIA: EVERY 2 MINS A CHILD UNDER 5 DIES OF MALARIA

*MALARIA ATTACKS OUR ECONOMY;*

THE PARASITE IS AN AFRICAN PANDEMIC*

By: Sen Rich Kay

Continued study had showed that in 2017, there were 219 million malaria cases which did led to 435,000 deaths.

Amongst these motality, 61 per cent (266,000) were children under 5 years of age. The children are the future of any society and their destruction is a destruction of the society. Compassionate on the suffering of people, Dr Ned Nwoko had launched the Fight Against Malaria Parasite In Africa.

The rate of these deaths, translates into a daily toll of nearly 730 children under age 5. It is emphatically imperative for all African Government NGOs and Humanitarian Agencies to come out in full and support the Ned Nwoko Malaria Eradication Project in Africa.

*Every two minutes, a child under five dies of malaria. Most of these deaths occurred in Sub-Saharan Africa.*

Indeed malaria is an urgent *Public Health Priority*. Malaria and the costs of treatment trap families in a cycle of illness, suffering and poverty. This should form the base why we all should see the ERADICATION OF MALARIA IN AFRICA as a Fight for us all..

Now note that today, 3.7 billion (half of the world population) are at risk because of Malaria.

Findings now has it that since 2000, malaria has cost the sub-Saharan Africa US$ 300 million each year for case management alone and it is estimated to cost up to 1.3 per cent of GDP in Africa. As of 2018, direct costs of malaria are estimated to be $12 billion USD per year.

So Malaria is not only Killing the people IT IS ALSO DRAINING OUR ECONOMY AND RESOURCES.

Yes it is for the purpose of achieving this project that Hon Dr Ned Nwoko, as the 1st Black Man, visited Antarctica, the White Desert, to meet with scientists in search of vaccine that will end the surge of malaria in Africa; making Nigeria the 13th country in the world to visit Antarctica, South Pole as Dr Ned Stands Nigerian Flag with inscription "Eradicate Malaria in Africa"
